The 1001 Steps at Bayview Park offers a popular new fitness experience in the City of Casey.
The public parkland and walking track on Quarry Road in Narre Warren North is the newest open space project in the area.
Inspired by the 1000 Steps in Ferntree Gully, the healthy lifestyle experience has proved popular with residents and visitors to the area since opening in 2019.
The City of Casey completed the project after identifying that the former landfill site would be an ideal location for a public space project for the community.
The 1001 Steps fitness track
Built with exactly 1001 steps, the track at Bayview Park has been designed to suit most fitness levels and abilities.
Walkers and fitness enthusiasts who walk the steps are treated to views of the City of Casey, Western Port and Port Phillip Bay along the journey.
The 1001 Steps can be accessed from the purpose-built carpark located at Bayview Park.
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times.
Future improvements
Council is currently working on a masterplan for the 1001 Steps site to guide additional improvements and developments.
Casey residents will have the opportunity to have their say on improvements made to the park in future.
