The amount on a supplementary notice overrides any balances on your previous rates or supplementary notices.
A Supplementary Rates Notice is an updated rate notice sent outside of the usual rates period. We'll send you a supplementary rates notice if a change to your property has increased or decreased its value or use. Examples include:
- changing your bin package - adding or cancelling a bin
- subdividing land
- changing the use of land - e.g. commercial to residential
- extension or renovation
- construction of a dwelling
- adding a shed or pool
- demolition.
