Environmental Volunteering with Casey Friends

It's good for you and the environment! 

Casey Friends groups are a great way to get involved in the community. Most of our Friends groups meet monthly for activities like planting, weeding, litter collection and environmental monitoring.

Friends of Cardinia Creek Sanctuary (Beaconsfield)

The Friends of Cardinia Creek Sanctuary was formed in 1999 and there are approximately 100 Volunteers who are beautifying sections of Cardinia Creek in Berwick & Beaconsfield.  Activities include advocacy, campaigning and fundraising, children’s activities, litter removal and weeding and pest control. 

They are a non for-profit organisation.

Friends of Eumemmerring Creek (Eumemmerring)

For the past 25 years the friends of Eumemmerring Creek have undertaken planting and weeding activities as well as removing litter and advocating for the health of the creek and its surrounds.  They meet once every second month from February to November to prepare for and coincide with planting seasons. They generally work in the Eumemmerring Creek Nature Reserve through Eumemmerring and Doveton.

Friends of Frog Hollow (Endeavour Hills)

Working to enhance and revegetate the environment around Frog Hollow to make greater and safer habitat for wildlife and native birds.

Friends of Rivergum Reserve (Hampton Park)

The Friends of Rivergum Reserve is a subcommittee of the Hampton Park Progress Association.

Started in 2014 to promote the River Gum Creek Reserve and any activities, formal and informal that occurred there.  The Reserve is managed by Melbourne Water.

Activities include Clean up Australia Day and planting.
