The Friends of Wilson Botanic Park Berwick (FOWBPB) is an active community group formed to further the development of Wilson Botanic Park.
We have been heavily involved I the development and operation of the Park since its inception in 1990 and subsequent opening to the public in 1992.

Our vision statement
Our vision statement is – volunteering to safeguard the park’s botanical future.
The role of Friends of Wilson Botanic Park
The Friends have been involved in the development and operation of the Park since 1990, before the Park opening to the public in 1992.
The role of the Friends is to:
- encourage appreciation of the natural environment and its value to the community.
- assist and encourage the development of the park. The group also represents its improvement.
- Hold events, activities, tours and lectures associated with the park or related interests.
- Promote preservation and study of the history and ecology of the Park.
- encourage the preservation, research and study of the history and ecology of the park.
- assist with the general promotion of the Park.
- contribute towards the day-to-day operations of the Park.
Opportunities for Friends
- The friends provide many opportunities to get involved through a range of activities to suit a variety of interests.
- Come and get your hands dirty at one of our regular working bees to keep the park looking beautiful! They are held on the third Saturday of February, May, August and November.
- Volunteer at one of the social events and be involved with planning or provide assistance during events.
- Provide Park Information and assistance to visitors or lead one of our guided tours of the park.
- Take a more active role by joining the Friends executive committee and be involved in the organisation and development of the group or the Park more broadly.

- Individual $25
- Family $35
- Senior Individual $20
- Senior Couple $25
A fee of $10 is charged if you prefer a copy of the newsletter to be mailed each edition.
