Waste Transfer Station (WTS)
We appreciate the effort made by all community members to submit a public question to council for consideration. Under the Governance Rules, Council is required to review the list of questions received to ensure that only valid questions that have not been previously addressed are raised at Council Meeting.
Council has received and answered a total of 122 questions in the past 6 months on the Hampton Park Waste Transfer Station topic, including an overarching statement that was read by the Mayor at the April council meeting directly addressing the background and updates on this topic sparked by questions raised by the community.
Section 65.9.5 permits questions that are the same in subject matter already answered at a council meeting to be ruled invalid to ensure efficiency and avoid duplication during question time at public meetings.
