Spring into Summer makes it free and fun to get active

Spring into Summer 2023

Spring into Summer is a fun, free program that encourages residents to get physically active as the winter months fade into memory and the weather warms up.

The program is a great way to make the move to a healthier lifestyle, making it easy and affordable to participate in activities that are family-friendly, inclusive and which cater to different interests and levels of physical abilities.

Spring into Summer includes a range of different activities, including yoga, Pilates, netball, pickleball, basketball, soccer, self-defense classes and much more. There are activities and events hosted by the YMCA, Reclink, Parks Victoria, Risky Kids, Wilsons Botanic Park and Olive Rd Sporting Complex. All events in the program are free to attend and enjoy.

The activities on offer have been chosen from various providers to encourage exercise among those who might not have previously been able to engage in exercise and physical activity often. This could be due to financial reasons, lack of opportunity, cultural considerations or lack of self-confidence. The unstructured activities in the program aim to remove these obstacles to physical and mental health development by making it free and welcoming to get out, have fun, and meet new people – all while being active and getting the body moving!

Spring into Summer is running now until 17 December 2023. To get involved, check out the Spring into Summer 2023 calendar of events.
