The City of Casey is committed to creating a safe and inclusive Casey for all residents regardless of their age, gender, cultural background or profession. We do this through various programs and partnerships with government and non-government organisations. October is Community Safety month! There’s lots happening throughout the month where you can connect with others, so keep an eye on our website for promotions about free local events and other safety related initiatives.
Perceptions of Safety survey
In 2021, the City of Casey began a five-year research project into our resident’s perceptions of safety. The findings will help us better plan programs, projects, funding and advocacy work that allow our residents to feel safer. To help understand how perceptions and experiences have changed in the last two years, we are inviting residents to complete an online survey about community safety in their area. By providing feedback, it will help us to better understand the experiences of households in their neighbourhood so we can design programs to prioritise and plan for community safety and crime prevention activities. The Durga Chronicles

The Durga Chronicles draws on the stories of women who have been harmed in different parts of the world and harnesses the force of Durga to provoke empowered resistance against gendered violence. Following each performance there will be circles of conversation with diverse, multicultural, inter-faith community members, leaders, psychologists and social justice workers to discuss resistance against gendered violence and to empower those who identify as women. Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival
