Register a new health and beauty business

This section is only for registering a health and beauty business for the first time. To renew your registration, please click here.

Under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008, businesses that offer the following types of services need to register with Council:

  • Hairdressing
  • Tattooing
  • Ear piercing
  • Hair removal (e.g. by waxing)
  • Manicures/pedicures
  • Colonic irrigation

Furthermore, to assist businesses comply with the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008, the Department of Health website provides useful infection prevention and control information specific to the industry.
