Registrations for Clean Up Australia Day - the country’s largest community-based environmental event - are now open for 2024, and we are encouraging all Casey residents to join in!
Taking place on Sunday 3 March, Clean Up Australia Day inspires communities to conserve the environment and help keep open spaces litter free.
Residents who would like to help remove rubbish from Casey's many waterways, parks and community spaces can either:
- Join a registered Clean Up event
- Register your own local site and become a site supervisor
Interested in registering your own site? Do so before the end of the year (11.59pm on 31 December 2023) and go in the draw to win one of three donated $1,000 Coles gift vouchers.
Registered sites all receive clean-up kits from Clean Up Australia to help ensure the health and safety of volunteers and the community.
Additionally, Council is pleased to offer a $50 rebate per site for refreshments on the day and will have Litter Prevention Officers visiting sites across Casey to encourage and assist volunteers. We are also pleased to provide rubbish pick-up services following the event where required.
