The strategy focuses on supporting existing businesses, attracting new investment and industries, and creating pathways to local jobs and skills development.

By growing business activity and employment opportunities, Council helps strengthen local communities and support inclusive economic growth. The strategy also guides how Council works with partners to attract investment, support innovation and ensure local businesses can adapt and thrive.
