Council’s Public Interest Disclosure policy outlines how individuals, including members of the public, Council officers, and Councillors, can disclose information to prevent improper conduct.
Making a Disclosure
Disclosures can be made about improper conduct or detrimental action taken by public bodies or public officers. Disclosures may be made anonymously and can be about conduct that has occurred, is occurring, or is intended to occur.
How to Make a Disclosure
Disclosures can be made verbally or in writing.
Verbal Disclosures
By telephone to the CEO, Public Interest Disclosure Officer, Public Interest Disclosure Coordinator, or the direct/indirect manager of the discloser or the person to whom the disclosure relates.
Written Disclosures
- Delivered personally to the office of Council at: City of Casey, Bunjil Place, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren VIC 3805
- Sent by post addressed to the Public Interest Disclosure Officer or Public Interest Disclosure Coordinator at: PO Box 1000, Narre Warren VIC 3805
- Sent by email to: governance@casey.vic.gov.au
For written disclosures, it is recommended to clearly mark the envelope or email subject line with "Public Interest Disclosure".
