Overview
Casey residential properties can receive two hard waste collections per calendar year (Jan-Dec) as part of their annual waste charges.
Ensure your hard waste pile is neatly stacked and fits within three cubic metres (3 m wide x 1 m high x 1 m deep) and placed on your nature strip. Items should not exceed 1.5 m or weigh more than 30 kg. Failure to do so may result in your pile not being collected or using your second collection if you have one.
Alternatively, consider donating your items. Use our online waste disposal directory to find out where you can dispose of clothing and other items in good condition.
Hard waste checklist
- Do you have an available collection?
Households can receive two collections per year.
- Can your items be collected?
Download the complete list of what we can and can't collect.
- Book your collection online.
- Put out hard waste on Sunday before the collection week
This helps minimise others dumping on your pile, which may prevent it from being collected.
- Neatly stack your hard waste pile
Separate into garden waste, mattresses, metal, and general.
- Take a photo of your hard waste pile
In case you need to report an issue, such as a missed collection or dumped waste.
Book a hard waste collection
Only residential properties (not vacant land) can book a hard waste collection.
Or call Waste Management on 9729 9100.

You can cancel your hard waste collection up to 2 hours after the initial booking, or until 11:59 pm Sunday, the night before your scheduled collection week.
