Types of landscape documents
The documents you need to submit will depend on the development and subdivision type.
- Landscape plan
A landscape plan is required when it is stipulated in the conditions of the Planning Permit. Examples of developments that may require a landscape plan as part of the Planning Permit:
- Unit development.
- New dwelling and works within a planning overlay.
- Commercial developments such as shops, service stations, restaurants, and offices.
- Community development, such as a healthcare facility, a childcare centre, an education facility, a community centre, or a place of worship.
- Industrial development, such as a commercial warehouse.
- Landscape Masterplan
A Landscape Masterplan is required for a subdivision application where land will be vested to Council or another Referral Party, such as Melbourne Water. The Landscape Masterplan is stipulated in the conditions of the Planning Permit. Examples of documents that are Landscape Masterplan are:
- Street Tree Landscape Masterplan
- Open Space Landscape Masterplan
- Wetland and Drainage Corridor Landscape Masterplan
- Detailed Landscape Construction Plan
A Detailed Landscape Construction Plan is required for a subdivision application where land will be vested to Council or another Referral Party such as Melbourne Water. The Detailed Landscape Construction Plan is stipulated in the conditions of the Planning Permit.

How to lodge
Landscape Plans and Landscape Masterplans

Detailed Landscape Construction Plans
For these plans, you will need to submit via landscapesubdivision@casey.vic.gov.au
When you submit Detailed Landscape Construction Plans, you will receive an acknowledgement email. The submission will be assessed and feedback provided within 21 working days (Non MOU), 10 working days (MOU).
