Changes to the Direct Debit (9 instalments) option

City of Casey has recently introduced a new, more flexible payment platform called Payble for the payment of rates.

As part of this change, the 9 monthly direct debit payment option will no longer be available for the payment of rates from 1 July 2026.

If you were previously paying your rates through a 9 monthly direct debit arrangement, your direct debit payments will end after your final scheduled payment in May 2026. Customers impacted by this change will be advised in writing.

You can still choose to pay your rates on a monthly basis by switching to Payble. Payble offers flexible payment options, allowing you to pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly, using your bank account or debit or credit card.

To set up a Payble payment plan, simply scan the QR code on your next Annual Rates Notice or visit pay.casey.vic.gov.au.

Update bank details or cancel a direct debit arrangement

City of Casey can no longer facilitate changes or updates to bank account details for existing direct debit arrangements.

If your bank account details are no longer correct, you will need to request that your direct debit arrangement be cancelled.

Once cancelled, you have the following options to pay your rates:

  • Sign up to Payble, which allows you to split your remaining balance into flexible payments, including monthly payments up to 30 June, using your bank account or debit or credit card.
You can set this up by visiting pay.casey.vic.gov.au. If you sign up to Payble, we will automatically cancel your direct debit.
  • Pay the full outstanding balance using one of the other payment methods listed on your rates notice.

To cancel your direct debit arrangement, please get in touch with us.
