Remember to renew your pet registration

Pet owners in the City of Casey are reminded that pet registration renewals for all dogs and cats are now due.

By law, all cats and dogs over three months of age must be registered with Council. Reminder notices are currently being sent out and are due to be paid by 10 April 2023.

Your registration fees help Council :

  • return your pet to you if it's lost
  • deliver pet ownership education programs
  • investigate puppy farms
  • investigate dog attacks and prosecute  offending owners
  • provide more pet-friendly parks and other facilities throughout Casey.

Cat owners are also reminded that Under the Domestic Animals Act 1994, all cats must be confined to your premise at all times.

This not only helps keep your cat safe from injury, but also protects our native wildlife and helps reduce problem behaviour for neighbours.

For more information, a list of fees and available discounts see the pet registration page on our website.
