Rid your home of toxic household chemicals

Detox your home

Rid your home of unwanted toxic household chemicals – for FREE – at the upcoming drive-through Detox Your Home event on 25 June 2022.

At the event, residents can dispose of a wide variety of cleaning products, pool chemicals and pesticides – including items such as cosmetics and oven cleaner, to paint, garden fertilisers and rat poison.

Chemicals can’t be decanted, so bring them in the original packaging or disposable, clearly labelled containers. If you don’t know what’s inside a container, label it as ‘unknown’. The maximum acceptable weight or size for a single container is 20 kilograms or 20 litres.

Collected items are recovered for reuse or safely disposed of by Sustainability Victoria who have partnered with the City of Casey for this event - helping to reduce the risk to the environment and human health, while enabling the reuse of precious resources.

With community safety in mind, Detox your Home events are now drive-through, require bookings and are supported by a COVIDSafe plan.

Date: 25 June 2022
Time: 8.30 – 3.00 pm
Venue: Chisholm Cranbourne TAFE, 2 New Holland Drive, Cranbourne

For more information on all items that will be accepted and to secure your place visit the Detox Your Home event booking page
