Have your say on new Clyde North reserve and community centre names

With construction currently underway on a new recreation reserve in Springleaf Avenue, Clyde North, local residents are invited to have their say on the proposed names for the new recreation reserve and the future adjoining community centre.

Council is proposing the names Springleaf Recreation Reserve and Springleaf Community Centre. Local Councillor Anthony Walter said these facilities would be focal points in the local community and encouraged residents to take this opportunity to provide feedback on the names.

“The recreation reserve is nearing completion, and while the community centre will take a little longer to be built, undertaking this process for both facilities at the same time will ensure consistency in the naming as they come to fruition,” he said.

The recreation reserve will include sports fields, netball courts, a community pavilion, walking paths, landscaping, public art and a playground.

The future community centre will include a kindergarten, maternal and child health consulting rooms and a community space that will be available for hire.

Consultation on the names for both facilities closes on 29 March 2026. More information and details on how to have your say are available on Council’s Casey Conversations website: conversations.casey.vic.gov.au
