Christmas Lights Contest: Lights, joy and winners

Compilation of the winning displays

The City of Casey is excited to share that the winners of our first-ever Christmas Lights Contest have been decided by our judging panel.

And each winner will take home a $500 gift voucher, just in time for Christmas!

City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen said the contest captured the true spirit of the season.

“It’s been wonderful to see neighbours coming together, sharing their creativity and delighting in each other’s displays. The joy and connection this brought to our community is exactly what we hoped for this Christmas.

“Thank you to everyone who participated, voted and celebrated the season.” Cr Koomen said.

With almost 150 dazzling entries, the judging panel, consisting of Mayor Cr Koomen, a City of Casey staff member and a community member, had their work cut out for them. In the end winners came from across the city — from Botanic Ridge and Berwick to Narre Warren South and Doveton.

The contest featured five categories: Best Small Display, Best Large Display, Best Traditional Display, Best Business Display and the Community Choice Award.

All of the winners have now been informed. To see the winning displays and share in the festive magic created by your community, visit Casey Conversations.
