A message from Noelene Duff PSM, Chair of Administrators:
As 2023 draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to look back on what has been a wonderful year in the City of Casey.
Once again, we have had the pleasure of hosting a wide range of events and activities over the past 12 months that celebrate and acknowledge our community, including the 2023 Casey Community Awards, Casey Kids Carnival, Winter Arts Festival, Casey Business Awards, Casey Food and Wine Festival, Ageing Positively Festival, Casey Innovation Summit, Special Olympics Victoria State Games, Casey Pet Expo, and much more.
We also celebrated many milestones and achievements this year, including the openings of Booring Recreation Reserve in Botanic Ridge and Orana Community Place in Clyde North, the revitalisation of Endeavour Hills Library, and infrastructure upgrades at Myuna Farm in Doveton.
We also adopted Council's Climate Action Plan 2022-2030, and continued the expansion of the 'Shape Your City' community engagement program which saw more than 10,500 community members share their views on the future of Casey.
On behalf of Council, I would like to acknowledge all our community volunteers who continue to contribute so much to our beautiful City. We are so grateful for all you do, and cannot thank you enough.
I encourage all residents to discover the range of services and events Casey has to offer this summer, and to support our local community and businesses wherever possible.
I look forward to seizing new opportunities to support and meet the needs of our growing community in 2024.
