As the chill of winter fades and the days grow longer, City of Casey residents are invited to shake off the cold and embrace the sunshine with Spring into Summer — a free, family-friendly program designed to get the community active and outdoors.
Running throughout November, Spring into Summer offers a wide range of inclusive physical activities that cater to all ages, interests, and abilities. From high-energy workouts to gentle movement sessions, there’s something for everyone — and it’s all free.
A highlight of the program will be the silent disco at Wilson Botanic Park Berwick from 10:00 am 2:00 pm on Saturday 15 November. In the lead-up to the event, City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen and 11-year-old Harper visited the park to preview the location and highlight the exciting opportunity for residents of all ages to enjoy music in a fun and inclusive way. Whether you join us for 30 minutes or the full four hours, with three music channels to choose from, there's something to get everyone moving.
Other activities to be held across the month include:
- Walking football (soccer) and outdoor bootcamp – new additions for those looking to try something different.
- Trampoline fitness and Pickleball – popular favourites making a return.
- Free fitness classes – delivered by our partners at Aligned Leisure.
- Park runs, chair yoga, mum’s and bub’s yoga.
Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen says “the program is a great way to kickstart a healthier lifestyle. It’s about having fun while moving your body — no matter your fitness level. Spring into Summer makes it easy and affordable for Casey residents to get active, connect with others, and enjoy the outdoors.”
Let’s get outside and get moving! To get involved, check out the Spring into Summer 2025 calendar of events.
