The City of Casey proudly celebrated the outstanding achievements and creativity of local young people at the 2025 Casey Youth Awards Night.
Hosted by the City of Casey’s Youth Services team, the evening recognised the journeys and contributions of young people involved in Casey Youth Services programs and committees throughout 2025.
Bunjil Place was full of energy as participants shared presentations highlighting their projects, achievements, and personal growth, before stepping onto the stage to receive certificates of recognition from the City of Casey Councillors.
The groups receiving certificates included:
Man Cave;
Youth Climate Action Committee;
Ign!te Entertainment;
Pride Space;
Youth Action Committee; and
Casey Youth Summit Action Committee.
Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen says “the Casey Youth Awards Night is an inspiring celebration of the city’s future leaders, and an opportunity to celebrate not only the achievements of our young residents, but also their journeys.”
“These programs help young people build confidence, develop new skills, share their ideas, and make a real impact. When young people are supported to thrive, our whole community benefits.”
The event also acknowledged the families, friends, and mentors whose support play a vital role in encouraging and supporting young people in their development.
The Casey Youth Awards Night is part of Council’s commitment to strengthening communities, recognising the importance of valuing young people and their contribution to the community. Council encourages all young people to get involved in Casey Youth Services programs and committees, to discover new opportunities, and make a difference.
