Have you ever thought about volunteering to help young people?
Learner drivers aged 16-21 must have 120 driving hours before they can apply for their P-plates. But many young people in Casey do not have an adult in their life to teach them to drive. Without a licence, young people have limited education and employment options.
The Casey TAC L2P program matches volunteers with a learner driver, provides a car and training for mentors to help these young people get their licence, opening opportunities for further education and employment.
You only need an hour a week, a full driver licence, a good driving record and an open heart! If this sounds like a challenge you would like to explore, we have new volunteer training in Narre Warren on Saturday 2 July at 9.00pm.
Please email l2p@casey.vic.gov.au to register your interest.
