Please be aware of a potential SMS scam.
Some in the community have reported receiving an SMS that says that “animal renewals are due 31st August" and then offers a link to "renew or update your pet details now". This is not a Council message and you should delete it.
The City of Casey has not sent any text messages regarding animal registration nor updating pet details in the last month. The link in the SMS is not a Council URL and you should not click it. Please do not give any personal details in reply to messages such as this.
If you receive a suspicious call or SMS, please lodge it with the federal government’s Scam Watch website.
If you have already provided personal or financial details to callers claiming to be from the City of Casey, we encourage you to contact your local police.
