‘The return of a democratically elected Council is an exciting time for the City of Casey. Casey staff and I are looking forward to working with the new Councillor team, continuing to deliver the required services and infrastructure to meet the growing needs of our city. Together, we will work towards fostering collaboration, addressing local challenges and driving positive change on behalf of the community.’

Over the coming months, all Councillors will undertake mandatory induction training, with mandatory Mayoral training also introduced as part of the Local Government (Governance And Integrity) Amendment Regulations 2024 to be completed by Mayors, Deputy Mayors and Acting Mayors.

Casey’s new Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be elected at a Special Council Meeting at 4.00 pm on Tuesday 19 November. Members of the community are welcome to attend the meeting, which will be held in the Bunjil Place Function Room, 2 Patrick Northeast Drive, Narre Warren.
