Casey Councillors are looking forward to another in person Council Meeting in June. A registration process will continue to be in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone at our Council Meeting.
Registrations will open 9.00 am Thursday 12 June and close 10.00 am Monday 16 June, unless booked out prior to this time.
When registering, you must provide your:
- full name
- valid email
- valid residential address.
Before entering the Council Meeting you will need to show a valid photo identification that contains your first and last name, home address and photo (e.g. driver licence) that matches your registration details.
We kindly request your cooperation in complying with these requirements to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for everyone attending the Council Meeting.
Anyone who has not registered or cannot provide identification that matches their registration details will be unable to attend the Council Meeting.
Those who submit a public question to be answered at the Council Meeting will also need to register to attend in person.
There will be a limit of 75 registrations available for the gallery, so we encourage community members to register early, as registrations are expected to reach capacity.
We are disappointed that the public gallery wasn’t at capacity during last month’s Council meeting. Unfortunately, we are seeing repeated efforts by individuals who plan on disrupting or derailing our meetings. Their actions do a disservice to the broader Casey community and prevent our residents from engaging with us.
We have implemented additional verification steps to the registration process for the June Council meeting and to ensure residents who want to take part in Council meetings in a responsible and constructive way can attend.
The registration process aligns to other Victorian Councils processes, including Yarra Ranges Shire Council, Hobsons Bay, Greater Bendigo, Brimbank, and La Trobe City Council.
The Council Meeting will continue to be livestreamed on our Facebook page and YouTube Channel.
