What is the Exploring Safety in Casey household survey?

To better understand public perceptions of safety, the City of Casey has been gathering community insights via the Exploring Safety in Casey household survey since 2021.

This survey, distributed to a randomised selection of 10,000 households every two years, helps Council to better plan and prioritise community safety and crime prevention programs, activities and advocacy efforts. It is also used to develop action plans under the Community Safety Strategic Services Plan that reflects the needs of Casey residents.

How do I complete the household survey?

The Exploring Safety in Casey household survey is distributed across all wards via post to a randomised selection of 10,000 residents every two years.

This year, the household survey will be posted in early August, and responses will be collected until 14 September.

I didn’t receive the household survey – can I still have my say?

Yes! If you do not receive the Exploring Safety in Casey household survey in the mail, there is still an opportunity to provide your feedback online via Casey’s community engagement platform, Casey Conversations.

The online survey will be open from 1 September – 1 October.

Additionally, several community pop ups will be taking place between October 2025 and January 2026, whereby residents can attend in-person events to have their say. Details of these events will be advertised on Casey Conversations once confirmed.
