Have your say on the Draft Berwick Village Major Activity Centre Structure Plan

Cr Koomen and Cr Dowling

City of Casey is pleased to unveil the Draft Berwick Village Major Activity Centre Structure Plan, which was endorsed at the May council meeting, and is now open for community feedback.
The draft structure plan outlines the long-term vision to guide how the area grows, develops and evolves

In 2024, we gathered community feedback and ideas for the area, to understand what matters most.  This feedback has helped shape the updates to the structure plan to support growth and development while preserving and enhancing the area for years to come.

City of Casey Mayor Stefan Koomen says “The Berwick Village Activity Centre’s beloved village character remains at the heart of its future.  I’m confident that the draft structure plan will ensure that improvements can be made to benefit the Casey community, while protecting the charm and unique feel of Berwick Village.  I encourage residents to participate in the next step of this engagement process and share their feedback.”

The community can see how their initial feedback helped shape the draft plan and have a say in refining the final structure plan.

Akoonah Ward Councillor Scott Dowling says, “As a long-term Berwick resident, I’m dedicated to keeping our town vibrant, connected and sustainable, whilst maintaining the charm. I encourage all our residents, to share their ideas on how we shape the future of our home ground.

Residents can attend one of the planned pop-ups (details below) to ask questions and provide feedback or they can share their thoughts through Casey Conversations.
