The City of Casey conducted 66 community engagements in 2025, inviting residents to have their say on a wide range of topics.
More than 4,500 residents shared their insights and expectations for the future of their city through surveys, workshops, pop-up sessions and door knocking campaigns on everything from Casey’s Local Law and Council Plans — including Domestic Animal Management, Municipal Emergency Management and Berwick Village Major Activity Centre Structure Plan — to infrastructure projects and playgrounds, dog parks and skate park renewals, as well as new designs.
City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen says: “Council’s engagement platform, Casey Conversations, attracted 45,278 visitors, highlighting the community’s strong interest in shaping the future of their City.
“The high level of participation reflects the community’s commitment to making Casey a better place for everyone.
“We’re incredibly proud of the way our community has engaged with Council this year. They have shown they care deeply about the future of their neighbourhoods and their feedback helps us make informed decisions that reflect local priorities and values.”
The standout engagement was the Community Local Law Review, which attracted over 1,200 contributions through surveys, pop-ups, workshops and door knocks. This consultation helped shape the draft Local Law, which was exhibited for public comment in August and September 2025 and received an additional 74 submissions.
