Our Budget 2025/26 invests $2.3 million to deliver programs and services, which support local businesses and empower local job seekers, while attracting new business investment to Casey.
Council understands the value of local jobs for our residents.
Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen said, “We want our residents to work close to home with access to a wide variety of job opportunities. So, we’re committed to providing support for every type of business across Casey – from those beginning their entrepreneurial journey to established, multi-national organisations.”
It’s important to ensure our activity centres are vibrant and welcoming. We’ll be revitalising these areas by unlocking underused Council-owned land to create vibrant and welcoming spaces. Planning is already underway to guide future growth in Berwick Village, while new opportunities are currently being explored in Hampton Park.
We’re making it easier to do business in Casey by improving our Choose Casey Concierge Service. This bespoke service helps potential investors find the right location and access grants. It also supports those applying for multiple permits, licences and approvals to navigate planning requirements.
Cr Koomen added, “We understand how daunting setting up a new business can be. We want to ensure that these businesses are fully supported and can get up and running quickly to focus on what they do best.”
Being able to travel efficiently and safely around Casey, with access to connected public transport networks, is essential for business growth. That’s why we continue to advocate strongly alongside our partners to the State and Federal Governments for critical infrastructure upgrades that match the pace of our city’s growth.
From training and networking events to attracting of new investment, your rates are working to make Casey a place that is connected, innovative and resilient.
