Fast fashion is cheap to buy, but has high costs environmentally and socially.
Value the clothing you already have, by learning to mend it. Visible mending (rather than trying to make your clothes look like there was no mend or just throwing them away) is a statement to others to say that you care enough about your clothes to mend them, rather than dispose of them.
Mending your own clothing and keeping them in circulation means there is less pressure on resources for new clothing and is a signal to others that maybe they could do the same.
Bring along your moth-chomped or ripped items and use visible mending techniques to give your damaged items new life.
Light refreshments provided.
NOTE THIS IS AN AFTERNOON SESSION.
